32 Traditional Shotokan Karate-do Kata

The Ju-ryuku-uke kata's were developed by Prof. Larry S.L. Martin, so students can improve there stances, blocks, kicks. all there basics are in the Ju-ryuku-uke kata. the first kata helps develop blocks / stances based on defense only, the second kata helps to develop defense and offence and the third kata develops only offence. these 3 kata will help the student in attacking!
the Fukyu Gata were added in with Shotokan Kata because Prof. Martin beleaves that all kata came from Okinawa and they all have somthing to offer each student. training in the old ways is alot better. for the students, they will understand Karate-do with an open mind! all Kata is good!
